Pao D’Arco is a herb that is found in the inner bark of the Tabebuia Impetiginosa tree, which grows in the Amazon.
It has a long history of use by tribes in South America for many different conditions including, respiratory problems, colds, arthritis, malaria and psoriasis.
One of the active constituents, lapachol, is believed to have very strong anti-cancerous properties and may reduce the size of tumors. Another constituent, beta-lapachone, may have similar properties to lapachol and is believed to inhibit the growth of tumors.
Pao D’Arco also has strong antifungal properties and may be used as a treatment for Candida and other fungal infections. Its antimicrobial properties may also be effective against Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Helibacter Pylori, TB, pneumonia and dysentery and various sexually transmitted diseases.
